Our new window is Beautiful. We just could'nt wait to get our new window, we were so excited. I just love it and it's not the old metal framed windows. We can now see out of our window. Due to the old window seal being broken. We just love it! Thank you...

Nice window
The casement window is excellent, the only issue is with the window screen does not fit tightly, the frame has gap and the clips are not big to seal 100%

Expected better
I heard good things about Milgard windows so I bought one and installed it myself. Milgard refers installers to the AAMA 2400-10, which is an industry standard that explicitly says it is not intended to supersede the manufacturer's installation instructions. I think Milgard's lack of manufacturer instructions is a bit of a cop out, leaving the installer to do careful research into a wide variety of issues (e.g., compatibility of materials, etc.). The window itself (Trinsic) had some smudges and glue still stuck to it when I picked it up from the factory, as well as some other imperfections that suggest a lack of quality control. I expected a better product for the money.

Acceptable window but not what I expected
I just completed the install of 3 windows and a sliding door. One of the windows arrived with an exterior paint scratch and the door handle has a paint chip. One of the windows was out of square by 3/16 of an inch so a major pain fitting into a perfectly square opening. The patio door install tolerance was so tight we could barely wrestle this monster in. The patio sliding door arrived without the decorative plug to hide the adjustment screws. Having said that, the opening mullions are much beefier than expected so the viewing area seems restricted, I paid for the slimline Trinsic series so expected better. The latch system is acceptable and slides easily and once I get over the frustration of the install I expect the windows will function well.
