Our story
Family-owned. Portland-proud. Since 1946.
In May 1946, right after the war, the Truax family sold their house, pooled their savings and opened a wood sash and door factory in a building Dad put up from scratch with help from friends and relatives. Mom ran the front office and cheered everyone on.
Nearly 80 years later we’re still family-run — helping homeowners and contractors choose the right windows and doors, and still building beautiful VG fir screen and storm doors in our own shop.
